The Kaapauku tribe was a tribe of Wookiees. When Bossk attacked the gunship Liswarr, he smelled a Wookiee who belonged to either the Kaapauku or Sawa tribes, though he noted that he often confused the two groups.[1]
Behind the scenes
The Kappauku tribe was first mentioned in "Tooth and Claw," a short story that was published in the 2020 anthology book From a Certain Point of View: The Empire Strikes Back.[1]
In the original draft of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, Chewbacca had a father named Auzituck. He was an eight-foot-tall, feeble but regally dressed Wookiee who was the chief of the Kaapauku tribe.[2]
