The KDD2055 short-range turbolaser rapid-fire defense battery was a turbolaser battery that saw use during the Clone Wars and the early years of the Galactic Empire. The KDD2055 was designed for the defense of buildings and other structures.

The Emperor Palpatine Surgical Reconstruction Center was defended by a number of KDD2055 turbolasers hidden within the hospital tower's orb-like pinnacle.
