Juranno was a city of Alderaan, situated in the Juran Mountains valley. The city had been deliberately built in this spot, so it looked like it had been carved from the mountains surrounding it. During the Great Galactic War, Juranno was also the location of House Panteer's Summer Palace.
History
In 3667 BBY, the Sith Empire launched a surprise attack on Alderaan and invaded the peaceful world. The Imperial forces, led by Sith Lord Darth Malgus, bombarded Alderaan, killing innumerable people and burning entire cities, including Juranno.[1]
Behind the scenes
The city of Juranno first appeared in Hope, the second cinematic trailer for the video game Star Wars: The Old Republic.[1] Its name was later revealed in Star Wars: The Old Republic Encyclopedia, released on October 15, 2012.[2]
