Jogan-bats were a type of bat that shared part of their name with jogan fruit. When the junk dealer Temmin Wexley launched a speeder bike out of the bay doors of the MK-4 freighter Moth during the rebellion on the planet Akiva[1] in 4 ABY,[2] it was comparable to a jogan-bat with its wings on fire.[1]

Jogan-bats were mentioned in the 2015 novel Aftermath, which was written by Chuck Wendig as the first installment in Star Wars: The Aftermath Trilogy.[1]
