The Jedi Temple's meditation pond was a meditation pond located at the Jedi Order's[1] Jedi Temple on the Core Worlds planet Coruscant.[2] When he was a Jedi youngling[1] by 796 BBY,[3] Yoda skipped across lily pads in the pond.[1]
While battling forces of the Confederacy of Independent Systems on[1] the Outer Rim[4] moon Rugosa[1] in 22 BBY,[5] Yoda[1]—by then the Order's Grand Master[6]—was carried by the Force as he jumped from battle droid to battle droid. The incident reminded the Grand Master of when he had skipped across the pond's lily pads as a youngling, and the memory made him smile.[1]
Behind the scenes
The Jedi Temple's meditation pond was mentioned in "Sharing the Same Face," a short story written by Jason Fry and published in the 2020 anthology The Clone Wars: Stories of Light and Dark.[1]
