Jark was a male Human CorSec officer who lived on Corellia during the Galactic Civil War.
Biography
- "We all owe you a great debt. The city is much safer with those weapons back in our hands. We must now turn to the allies and organizers of this deed."
- ―Captain Jark, to a spacer
By the time following the Battle of Yavin, Jark was a captain of the Corellian Security Force, stationed in Tyrena. Inspector Cora was serving under his orders.[1]
In 1 ABY,[2] a ship piloted by CorSec Captain Donovan and carrying a cargo of weapons to the local CorSec force in Tyrena apparently crashed near the city. Captain Jark ordered Cora to investigate the crash. Cora discovered that the criminals known as the Deflarians hijacked Donovan's ship and then crashed a ship of the same model to cover the theft of its cargo. Cora and a spacer finally rescued Captain Donovan from the Deflarian bunker and recovered the ship and its cargo of weapons.[3]
The Ragtag/Deflarian meeting.
In the meanwhile, Captain Jark was interested to find those responsible for the theft of Captain Donovan's ship. Jark discovered that a traitorous CorSec agent named Jori sold to the Ragtag criminals information concerning the cargo of weapons, including Donovan's flight schedule. Lacking firepower to perform themselves the thief, the Ragtags hired the Deflarians to hijack the ship and steal the cargo. Jark thus sent spacers to raid a meeting between Deflarians and Ragtags. Jori was killed during the operation and the CorSec managed to retrieve vital information about Tyrena defense capabilities provided by the traitor to the Ragtags.[4]

Star Wars Galaxies (post-NGE) — Legacy Quest: "Talk to Captain Jark" on Corellia
- ↑ The opening crawl of Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided dates the game to after the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, and additionally, Serji-X Arrogantus, who died in Star Wars (1977) 10—the events of which The New Essential Chronology dates to 0 ABY—appears in the game. Therefore, at least a portion of Star Wars Galaxies must be set in that year. Furthermore, in the game Ruwan Tokai references the destruction of the Death Star as having occurred one year earlier, and Strongholds of Resistance also places the events of Galaxies' Chapter 9: "The Fury of Exar Kun" in 1 ABY. Lastly, while Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" features the Battle of Hoth—dated to 3 ABY by The New Essential Chronology—the developers have stated that the portrayal of that battle in the game is intentionally anachronistic. Therefore, the events of Star Wars Galaxies must span from 0 ABY to around 1 ABY.
