Janelle was a Human female and chief of the Mountaintop smugglers who lived during the Galactic Civil War.[2] In 1 ABY,[1] she acquired a ring from Herman Pate as a payment of a debt. The ring was a family heirloom previously lost by Vance Groten to Herman Pate during a Sabacc game. As Groten intended to recover his ring, he dispatched a spacer to find the smuggler leader. Janelle was killed in the confrontation.[2]

Behind the scenes

Janelle was a non-player character in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts,[2] prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.[3] Janelle was added to the game as part of the "Legacy Quest" with the release of the "Publish 25", a.k.a. the "New Game Enhancements," on November 15, 2005.[4]

Therefore, the events of Star Wars Galaxies must span from 0 ABY to around 1 ABY.
