Jakku Spy is an interactive virtual reality experience, designed for the Star Wars App by Lucasfilm's immersive entertainment studio ILMxLAB. It features levels of being a spy on the planet of Jakku. Following you through your missions is BB-8, an astromech droid. There are a total of 10 missions to complete. None of the missions require any touching and only need the player to turn their phone to explore Jakku.[1] The feature ties directly into Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens, but is not considered canon.[2]

The features was released prior to The Force Awakens, and as a promotion, players could get Google Cardboard from Verizon stores to experience the full VR effect.[1]
