The Jai'galaar blaster was a type of Mandalorian blaster developed by MandalTech. It shared its name with the Mando'a word for shriek-hawk.[1]
Behind the scenes
The Jai'galaar blaster was first mentioned in Sabine My Rebel Sketchbook, a reference book written by Daniel Wallace and published in 2015. It identifies Wren's weapons as Jai'galaar blasters made by MandalTech instead of WESTAR-35 blaster pistols by Concordian Crescent Technologies.[2] As Star Wars Rebels: The Visual Guide,[3] Rebel Journal by Ezra Bridger—another 2014 reference book by Wallace[4]—and the official Star Wars Rebels Facebook page[5] identify the weapons as WESTARs, this article assumes those sources are correct.
