For other uses, see Jafan.

Jafan was a general[2] and eventual king of the Royal House of the planet Naboo.[1] During the Time of Suffering,[2] a roughly two-century-long civil war between Naboo city-states,[3] General Jafan united the factions through force of will and military strength, ushering in the Great Time of Peace, a golden age for Naboo.[2]

Jafan became the first king of the new era,[1] and in 832 BBY, they directed the construction of the Royal Palace in the newly founded capital city of Theed.[2] The palace was built in the heart of the city in tribute to King Jafan, with a network of streets and plazas stretching out from it.[3] Jafan also built the handcrafted Turret Room[4] and a small temple at the rear of the palace, the latter of which would be used by Naboo's monarchs to pay homage to their predecessors.[1]

Behind the scenes

Jafan was first mentioned in the 2000 reference book Inside the Worlds of Star Wars: Episode I by Kristin Lund.[1]
