The JV-80 ion drive was a type of ion drive manufactured by Novaldex. Manufactured by Novaldex, but more widely used by Corellian Engineering Corporation in the C-ROC Gozanti-class light cruiser, the JV-80 ion drive was newer and more efficient than the older Ter58 ion engine. Five of these ion drives were used to upgrade the C-ROC from the Ter58's, resulting in substantially increased speed and performance.[1]
