Itch mites were a type of mite. When the Jedi Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi boarded the Invisible Hand, flagship of Separatist General Grievous, during the Battle of Coruscant[1] in 19 BBY,[2] Grievous refered to the Jedi as itch mites when ordering a group of B1-series battle droids to attack them.[1]

Behind the scenes

Itch mites were mentioned in the 2022 non-canon video game LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.[1] The creatures originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where they were first mentioned in the first part of "Side Trip," a four part novella. The first part was written by Timothy Zahn and published by West End Games in Star Wars Adventure Journal 12 in February, 1997.[3]
