Istix was the capital and only city on the planet Sanod, a planet that was beyond the borders of the Galactic Empire. The spaceport on Istix was a haven for trafficking of the narcotic Blue. During the Galactic Civil War, a group of Rebel investigators went under cover on Sanod to find the source of the drug trafficking. As part of their cover, they were given an internship in administrative techniques at the spaceport. Also as part of their cover, the investigators had to make contact with an individual by the name Fat Jack at the holobar The Red Ring.

The city of Istix was created, along with its planet Sanod, as part of the French role-playing game supplement in the magazine Casus Belli.
