The ion recirculators were a blaster component that could be use to install an ion surge module in a VM-19 heavy blaster pistol.[1] During 3 ABY,[2] the Rodian Gedeek Obaz gave the scoundrel Kay Vess a recirculator after she helped the rebel alliance attack the Galactic Empire's Kassina Outpost on Akiva, a planet in the Outer Rim Territories.[1]
Behind the scenes
Ion recirculator appeared in the 2024 Massive Entertainment video game Star Wars Outlaws. The recirculator is mentioned in the summary of "Ion Surge Kit" item that the player is given for completing "The Viper" quest.[1]
