An ion bomb
Ion bombs were explosive bombs carried by starships, such as the Ghost, which used homemade ion bombs to target ground-based vehicles.[1] During the Resistance war against the First Order, some T-70 X-wing starfighters were equipped with ion bombs.[2]
Characteristics
The bombs used by the modified rebel VCX-100 light freighter known as the Ghost were spherical in appearance and used as high-yield explosives capable of damaging heavily armored vehicles such as All Terrain Defense Pods and Imperial Troop Transports.[1]
