Above Shramar, the ships of the New Republic and the Empire
engaged the Yuuzhan Vong fleet as it attempted to retake
the captured Vong ship Heart of Artorias. Eventually the
blockade failed, and the Yuuzhan Vong carried their attack
to the planet's surface.
But Queen Nina Galfridian realized that there was some-
thing on Shramar of more value to the Yuuzhan Vong than
her ship, and gave orders for the planetary defenders to
withdraw…and wait.
On Coruscant, Finn Galfridian and New Republic officer
Kopri confronted Imperial Ambassador Yarmond—a masqued
Yuuzhan Vong—only to be surprised by Finn's mentor, the
Jedi Dray…
