The Interceptor-class frigate was a light capital ship used primarily by pirate organizations.
Characteristics
The Interceptor frigate was a fast and maneuverable ship and had heavy armor and powerful shielding. Despite the frigate being equipped with some turbolasers and proton torpedo launchers, it was lightly armed for its size.[2]
History
Though they were used by a large number of pirate groups and crime syndicates during the Galactic Civil War,[2] including the nefarious organization Black Sun.[3] Tyber Zann had a large amount of these ships modified to be faster and less armored to become the Zann Consortium's Interceptor IV frigates.[6]
