The Inner Rim Mercenaries were a newly-established mercenary group active at the time of the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and Confederacy of Independent Systems. The Inner Rim Mercenaries were one of several mercenary groups that developed to service the confederate government during the war. The group also shared its name with the galactic region known as the Inner Rim Territories.[1]
Behind the scenes
The Inner Rim Mercenaries were first mentioned in the new Star Wars canon in Collapse of the Republic, a 2019 supplement to Fantasy Flight Games' series of Star Wars Roleplaying products.[1] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the Inner Rim Mercenaries were introduced in the 2008 reference book The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia.[2]
