The Inner Circle was a group of senior members of the Wyrd, a coven of Tarasin dark side Force witches from the planet Cularin. The Inner Circle were directly answerable to Wyrd's leader. Though the Inner Circle were once more numerous,[1] by about 19 BBY[2] the Wyrd had suffered various setbacks and only six members of the Inner Circle remained. In a final gamble to achieve dominance on Cularin, the First Witch of the Wyrd, the leader of the witches, committed the Wyrd to a plot to turn the ch'hala trees of Cularin to the dark side of the Force. The witch Cheelru, a member of the Inner Circle, questioned the suitability of this plan and was imprisoned by the First Witch as a consequence. Shortly thereafter, the remaining five members of the Inner Circle accompanied the First Witch to the ch'hala Heart Tree and initiated a ritual to corrupt Cularin's ch'hala trees. However, the witches were defeated by the heroes of Cularin and their plan thwarted.[1]
