A mission was launched by the Jedi Order to infiltrate and destroy the Starcrusher, a powerful Separatist warship capable of destroying multiple Republic Star Destroyers. A Jedi strike team, comprised of Mace Windu, Ki-Adi-Mundi, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Jyl Somtay, and Ahsoka Tano was sent to destroy it, but they were caught in a trap set by Admiral Kirst who lured then onto a decoy ship and sent them on a course into a star. Admiral himself left in an escape pod, waiting for the real Starcrusher to arrive. Right after the arrival of Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker who cut short his mission to Daltarri the real Starcrusher appeared. Thanks to the help of Lieutenant Daan who was abandoned in the decoy ship by Admiral Kirst, Anakin was able to disable the power generator of the Starcrusher, while Obi-Wan and the rest of the Jedi strike team, activated a magnetization of their ship's hull causing the two Starcrushers to collide. Skywalker then picked up the Jedi and the separatist Lieutenant and called for transport. The separatist battleship launch escape pods but it was too late as they were all pulled by the gravitational field of the star.
