Industrial Starports were a type of starport on the planet of Lazerian IV. Each Industrial Starport consisted of a Standard Class starport, huge raw material storage facilities, several large factories, warehouses, apartments for working staff, administrative offices, and a local garrison of twenty-four troopers from either the Galactic Empire's Imperial Army or the Kingdom of Devit's Lazerian army.[1]
The starports were off-limits to freetraders and passenger ships, with only corporate haulers, ore carriers, and bulk cargo ships being permitted to land and take off. The starports were connected to each other and the cities of Lazerian IV via monorail. Many of these starports were located within the larger Lazeria City Starport in Lazeria City.[1]
Behind the scenes
Industrial Starports were created by John Terra and introduced in Twin Stars of Kira, a 1993 supplement to West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[1]
