Impulse detector units were a type of impulse detector. A single unit included a flat base with a grill above it on the device's front with a triangular central surface in the center of the grill. A series of protrusions extended from the top of the device, which was dark gray, including a signal clarifier and a receiver antenna.[1] Tubing ran from each side of the device back round to the rear.[2]
An impulse detector unit was sat on the counter of the junk dealer Watto's junkshop[2] in the city of Mos Espa[1] on the planet Tatooine when aa group led by the Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn entered the store in search of a T-14 hyperdrive generator[2] in 32 BBY.[3]
