The Implacable was an Acclamator-class transgalactic military assault ship that was part of the Republic Navy during the Clone Wars,[1] which lasted from 22 BBY to 19 BBY and was fought by the Galactic Republic and Separatist Alliance.[3] The Implacable was equipped with sublight engines and a deflector shield generator.[1]

Sometime during the conflict, the Implacable suffered intense ground fire from enemy lasers while in the atmosphere of a rocky desert astronomical object while two LAAT/i gunships flew nearby. As the result of the ground fire, the assault ship experienced multiple explosions that produced smoke to fill the nearby area.[1] As an Acclamator, the Implacable was 752 meters in length, 460 meters in width, and 183 meters in height.[2]

Behind the scenes

The Implacable was introduced into the current Star Wars canon with "Protect the Republic," an article published on July 31, 2020 announcing the Galactic Republic Fleet Starter by Fantasy Flight Games, an expansion pack for the miniatures game Star Wars: Armada[4] released on December 4 of the same year,[5] where it is a title card available for use by the Galactic Republic faction.[4] In the game, before a friendly starship or squadron at distance 1-2 suffers damage from an opponent's attack, the player could utilize the Implacable card and spend 2 shield points from the front hull zone to reduce the total damage by that amount.[1]

The Implacable originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it appeared in Republic Commando: Hard Contact, a 2004 novel by Karen Traviss.[6] It was subsequently pictured when it was used as a miniature game piece for the Ground Assault expansion pack for Star Wars PocketModel TCG[7] released in 2007 by WizKids Games.[8]
