The Imperial Space Ministry was an agency of the Galactic Empire that was responsible for maintaining starship records. During the transition between the Galactic Republic and the Galactic Empire, the Imperial Space Ministry and Bureau of Ships and Services had many bureaucratic errors which resulted in the deletion and displacement of ship registration records, including many details of the Millennium Falcon's history.[1]

A Zeta-class Heavy Cargo Shuttle required a pilot and copilot that had the necessary operator licenses from the Imperial Space Ministry.[3]
