- "Citizen reporting has been a key tool in maintaining peace and order across the Empire."
- ―Alton Kastle
The Imperial Press Corps was a news organization maintained by the Galactic Empire during its reign. Journalists recruited to the Corps could be assigned to work for the HoloNet News.[1] The corps were known to utilize specialized courier droids.[3] Members of the Press Corps were granted the ability to make public statements and reports on anti-Imperial acts.[4] Alton Kastle was a journalist that worked for the Imperial Press Corps.[5] He wore a gray-blue variant of the Imperial uniform. Members of the Corps also wore Imperial media badges, a small gray plaque bearing the Press Corps' crest, instead of the military rank insignia plaque.[6]
