The Imperial Opera House, formerly known as the Mala Opera House was an opera house that was built centuries before the Battle of Yavin. It was constructed of marble, and was connected to the street by one hundred steps. On each side of the steps stood twelve five-meter-tall statues.[1]
After the Galactic Empire took over Ord Radama, they declared that only Imperial-sanctioned performances would be allowed and renamed the opera house. Additionally, an Imperial Intelligence Service command center was built under the opera house, although its presence was not public.[1]
