Imperial Facility 729-D was a space station maintained by the Galactic Empire at a classified location of the galaxy's Inner Rim region. The station had a hexagonal structure with a central hangar bay, which housed the Star Courier Scimitar, a starship belonging to Galactic Emperor Sheev Palpatine. The hangar was complemented by stormtroopers.[1]
Shortly after the theft of Palpatine's personal yacht, the Imperialis, he contacted Chanath Cha, a trusted bounty hunter who was on the Inner Rim world of Amethia Prime. Palpatine instructed Cha to track down the stolen vessel,[2] and he made arrangements for Cha to rendezvous with Imperial Facility 729-D to receive the Scimitar for the mission. On board the facility, Cha was greeted by pilot droid O-66 and supplied with the Scimitar, which the bounty hunter used to locate the stolen Imperialis soon after.[1]

Imperial Facility 729-D first appeared in the 2015 comic book Lando 3, which was written by Charles Soule and illustrated by Alex Maleev.[1]
