Ice storms were frequent and fast-moving storms that swept across the planet Hoth. They were among the greatest dangers on the ice world,[1] with the intense storms known for their speed and erratic movement across the frozen planet.[2] After escaping from the Wampa cave, Commander Luke Skywalker was caught in an ice storm raging across the Lanteel Glacier. Skywalker encountered the spirit of his mentor, Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi during the storm, who instructed him to travel to the Dagobah system. Skywalker was discovered and rescued by Captain Han Solo shortly after.[3]
