The IRAPS cerebral stabilizer was a medical helmet manufactured by Chiewab Amalgamated Pharmaceuticals. The helmet was designed to preserve the viability of its users' central nervous systems. To achieve this, it circulated a hyper-oxygenated solution into the patients' bloodstreams via IV lines injected into the large blood vessels of their necks. Though the cerebral stabilizer was lifesaving, it was also nightmarish and known as a "brain cage."[1]
