Established by Techno Union foreman Wat Tambor on Hypori was a Baktoid Armor droid factory that produced battle droids for the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars. After the war's end, however, the factory was transformed into a secret research station for the Galactic Empire, one of many locations throughout the galaxy that played a role in Project Celestial Power, an Imperial program that researched and developed various portions of the Empire's superweapon, a mobile battle station later known as the Death Star.[1]
