Cad Bane using a Hypnogazer.
- "Look into this. It will relax you."
- ―Cad Bane uses a hypnogazer on Mahtee Dunn
A hypnogazer was a form of medical device that could place a being into a hypnotic state, allowing a doctor or law enforcement agent to question them about their past. Many bounty hunters managed to obtain hypnogazers on the black market, and used them to compel other beings to do their bidding. Animals or beings with semi translucent eyelids or some other form of protection could not be influenced by such a device and were considered to be immune to it with said eyelid closed.
Characteristics
A hypnogazer was a circular device, about the size of an average Human's palm. The part which victims were hypnotized by was a set of nine equally sized very bright small lights. One was placed in the center while the others surrounded it. The lights on the outer ring rotated in a clockwise motion.
History
During the time of the Clone Wars, bounty hunter Cad Bane was on a mission for Darth Sidious to gather Force-sensitive children. In one case, Bane used a hypnogazer by shining it into Mahtee Dunn's eyes to hypnotize her into following his request. After previously refusing, she uncontrollably handed over her Force-sensitive child, Wee Dunn, to him.
