Hypercomms were a type of comm unit.
In 2 BBY,[1] a U-wing starfighter was scheduled to be fitted with hypercomms.[2]
Hypercomms were used by the First Order aboard Upsilon-class command shuttles. Lieutenant Dormitz was a specialist in hypercomms.[3]
