- "I know you. Well, I know of you. I've heard of your work with CorSec. Lt. Jasper is a friend of mine from way back. You must be out here investigating the Chirq Council. Chun and I are as well, though we have different assignments. Hey, maybe you can give me a hand with my assignment?"
- ―Agent Klakk, to a spacer

Biography
- "The Chirq Council is experimenting with a new kind of mechanized guardian. My assignment is to hamper the production of those mechanized guardians. I figure the best way to do that is to destroy the ones they already have. Your part would be to enter the Chirq Council bunker and destroy any mechanized guardians you find."
- ―Agent Klakk, to a spacer
Hurley Klakk was a friend of Lieutenant Mack Jasper,[1] a CorSec officer in Coronet City.[2] After the Battle of Yavin, the Corellian Security Force started an investigation against the Chirq Council following the increase of ryll traffic on Corellia.[3] In 1 ABY,[4] Captain Vitala Baize successfully infiltrated a CorSec agent in Jzoro Quanera's Chirq Council cell in Doaba Guerfel and managed to obtain the identity of the nine Chirq Council elite councilors and the locations of their two secret headquarters.[5] The Corsec thus assaulted the First and Second Elite Council Bunkers near Doaba Guerfel.[6] Agent Hurley Klakk was assigned to the attack on the Second Elite Council Bunker,[1] along with agent Chun Solso.[7] Agent Klakk was tasked to hamper the production of battle droids being developed by the Chirq Council: the Chirq Council Mechanized Guardians. He thus hired an independent spacer who previously worked for the CorSec to help him in his mission. Klakk thought that the best way to achieve the objective was to destroy the droids already built; and the spacer successfully destroyed them.[1] Eventually, the Chirq Council splintered after all the Chirq Council elite councilors were killed by the CorSec in the Elite Council Bunkers.[6]

- ↑ The opening crawl of Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided dates the game to after the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, and additionally, Serji-X Arrogantus, who died in Star Wars (1977) 10—the events of which The New Essential Chronology dates to 0 ABY—appears in the game. Therefore, at least a portion of Star Wars Galaxies must be set in that year. Furthermore, in the game Ruwan Tokai references the destruction of the Death Star as having occurred one year earlier, and Strongholds of Resistance also places the events of Galaxies' Chapter 9: "The Fury of Exar Kun" in 1 ABY. Lastly, while Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" features the Battle of Hoth—dated to 3 ABY by The New Essential Chronology—the developers have stated that the portrayal of that battle in the game is intentionally anachronistic. Therefore, the events of Star Wars Galaxies must span from 0 ABY to around 1 ABY.
