Hover Pods were devices[1] used around the time of the Third Galactic War.[2] to transport small objects, creatures, or individuals. Utilizing repulsorlift technology for locomotion, these pods could be programmed to automatically follow their owner.[1]

This Legends[3] mini-pet debuted within the Star Wars: The Old Republic Cartel Market, announced on February 15, 2022, as part of a tie-in promotion for the Disney+ television series The Mandalorian,[4] being directly inspired by Grogu's hovering pram featured heavily in the show.[5]
