The colloquially named Hoth hogs were hog-like creatures native to the icy wilderness of Hoth.
Biology and appearance

Hoth hogs were an herbivorous, land-scavenging race of hog-like creatures. Rarely seen[2] and physically weak, they were among the lowest forms of life in the planet's food chain, serving as prey to animals such as the giant tauntaun. They presumably fed on the fungus and lichens that grew just below the frost layer.[3]

The Hoth hog first appeared in the Star Wars Legends video game Super Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, which was developed by LucasArts and Sculptured Software, and published by THQ[4] on June 1, 1993.[5]
