The Horuz system, also known as the Despayre system,[6] was located in the Atrivis sector of the Outer Rim Territories.[1]
History
It contained an inner and outer asteroid belt, two gas giants, one in an outer orbit and the other a sun skimmer, and the planet of Despayre. It was in this system that the Galactic Empire completed construction of the battle station Death Star. The Death Star orbited Despayre until it destroyed the planet using three 33 percent shots.[3]
After being captured above Tatooine, Princess Leia Organa was taken to the Horuz system for interrogation aboard the battle station.[7][5]
The system was held by the Yuuzhan Vong during the Yuuzhan Vong War.[5]
