Hort

Hort was a Moff on the Imperial Remnant's Moff Council who was in charge of a sector^[1] in 19 ABY. That year,^[2] he attended a meeting with the other Moffs and Supreme Commander Gilad Pellaeon on^[1] the Outer Rim Territories^[3] Imperial capital planet Bastion.^[1]

After the supreme commander suggested they should surrender to the New Republic, Hort gathered his datacards and attempted to leave while saying that he had important matters waiting for him at his sector. The council's host, Moff Vilim Disra, told him to sit down, and Hort complied. Shortly after, Hort told fellow council member Sander to stop describing how the Republic would kill them if they gave up.^[1] Eventually, the council agreed to surrender, and Pellaeon signed a peace treaty with the Republic.^[4]

Behind the scenes

Hort first appeared in the 1997 novel Specter of the Past, the first installment of Timothy Zahn's Star Wars: The Hand of Thrawn Duology.^[1]
