- "Son, if one hostage is good, two are better, and three, well, that's just good business!"
- ―Hondo Ohnaka quoting his mother
The mother of the pirate Captain Hondo Ohnaka was a female Weequay. She taught him about taking hostages saying that one was good, two was better, and three was good business.[1] She sold him when he was a child.[3] She never sung him lullabies, as she was too busy teaching him how to pick pockets.[2] She also caught him that a man was never more free than after he had been betrayed.[4]
