- "But-- How? You discarded every chance you got and never locked a card the whole round. The odds are astronomical-- you cheated!"
- ―Lana Beniko to Gault Rennow while playing holo-sabacc
Lana Beniko and Theron Shan play holo-sabacc against Gault Rennow
Holo-Sabacc was a variation of sabacc that was played entirely through hologram, without physical cards. It was originally designed by Jar'ga the Hutt to combat rampant cheating and though it became popular, slicers quickly adapted, with stacked holo-decks and sliced holo-sabacc systems easily obtainable on the black market.[1]
Behind the scenes
Holo-Sabacc appears in Star Wars: The Old Republic: Knights of the Fallen Empire during Chapter 13: Profit and Plunder. It was first mentioned in the earlier-released non-canon video game Star Wars: Tiny Death Star.
