Heavy Isotope was a genre of music popular among youths near the end of the Old Republic. Generally played loudly, it was known to have a bass line reminiscent of one's own heartbeat. It originated in Coruscant's Slum district G17 from a vibrant youth culture, embodied by the band D.T. Spool and the Skroaches. It eventually became associated with death stick culture in the Coruscant underworld in the years leading up to the Clone Wars.[1]
