- "Worlds as spread apart as Havricus, Sermeria, Tynna, Nar Bo Sholla and Deylerax have reported damage from stone mites, though nothing on Ord Tiddell's scale."
- ―HoloNet News report
Havricus was a world[2] located in the Havricus system of the Colonies. It was situated on the super-hyperroute known as the Corellian Run, which served as the dividing line between the regions known as the Slice and the Southern Core and linked it to the Pencael system as well as the Inner Rim's Iseno system.[1]
During the years leading up to the beginning of the Clone Wars[3] in 22 BBY,[4] Havricus became one of the several worlds of the galaxy that experienced an infestation of stone mites—arthropods feeding on silicates and complex metals. An issue of the CoCo District Edition of the HoloNet News released on the date 13:5:9 noted that Havricus reported damage to the world's structures from the infestation.[2]
Behind the scenes
Havricus was first mentioned in HoloNet News Vol. 531 #55, an in-universe issue of the HoloNet News[2] written by Pablo Hidalgo and Paul Ens,[5] and published on the HoloNet News website on May 9, 2002.[6] 2008's The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia placed Havricus in the Mid Rim,[3] although that placement was overriden by the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, which instead placed the Havricus system, and therefore Havricus itself, in grid square N-12 as part of the Colonies.[1]
