The Hasaq system was located in the Askarian sector,[1] a part of the Slice portion of[2] the Expansion Region.[1] It was situated on the hyperlane known as the Nanth'ri Route, which linked it to the Attahox, Circarpous, and Zaloriis systems,[2] and contained an orange-colored sun.[3] Between 3959 BBY and 3956 BBY, the system was part of the Sith Empire founded by Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Revan.[2]

The Hasaq system was first mentioned in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, authored by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry, which placed it in grid square P-12.[2]
