The Harrin sector[1] was located in the Trailing Sectors portion of[2] the Inner Rim. It contained the Harrin system,[1] the primary planet of which was also named Harrin.[3] The Harrin system lay on the super-hyperroute known as the Corellian Trade Spine, and it was also situated at the endpoint of the Harrin Trade Corridor.[2]
The area of space surrounding the Harrin system was explored between 20,000 BBY and 15,000 BBY.[2] The system became a part of the Galactic Republic at some point between 17,000 BBY and 12,000 BBY. By the latter year, the planet fell within the territory known as the Corellian Hegemony, which was economically dominated by the Core Worlds planet Corellia.[4]
During the Clone Wars of 22 BBY–19 BBY, the Harrin system fell within the borders of the Confederacy of Independent Systems.[2] By 17 BBY, the system was situated in the territory controlled by the Galactic Empire.[4]
Behind the scenes
The Harrin sector was introduced in the 1993 West End Games Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game supplement Twin Stars of Kira.[5] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the sector's Harrin system in grid square L-15.[2]
