The Harda system was a star system that was located within the Outer Rim Territories' Phelleem sector[1] as a part of the Slice region.[2] The system was the origin point of the Hardan plague,[3][4] a deadly disease that could be carried by winged rodents known as Bogan's brown nafen.[3]

Behind the scenes

The Harda system was first mentioned in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, written by Jason Fry and Daniel Wallace, which placed the system in grid square S-7.[2]

The Essential Atlas and Galactic Cartography: Official Discussion (post by jasonfry) on the Jedi Council Forums' Literature board (December 11, 2007): "I wouldn't get your hopes up re alien homeworlds, beyond simple stuff like the Planetnamian species getting a Planetnamia on the map or things Dan and I can account for with a relatively quick reference." (backup link) (screenshot) Jason Fry, co-author of The Essential Atlas, stated his intention to create homeworlds for numerous species based on context implied from their names. Given this principle, this article makes a similar basic assumption for the Hardan plague in relation to the Harda system.
