Hamnet was a crime boss whose illegalities were sufficiently under cover that he was able to double as a respectable and wealthy businessman who enjoyed the trappings of success. The illegal activities were performed on his behalf by Wesson DeLameter, his personal bodyguard. Hamnet was among the handful of bidders who tried to buy the secret formula for an Imperial virus when it was auctioned off by Hakon deVille on Ananuru.
Behind the scenes
Hamnet first appeared in the unlicensed magazine article "Ananuru Express," which was published outside of Lucas Licensing's approval process and thus is considered non-canon. However, Hamnet was later canonized by inclusion in The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia, which repeated some details of the adventure.
