HHG-RX was an RX-series pilot droid that existed during the early stages of the Galactic Civil War. It could frequently be found hitch-hiking at Spaceport THX1138. It was identifiable with it giving the thumb gesture for hitchhiking and holding a pendant resembling the Marksman-H combat remote.

Behind the scenes

HHG-RX was a droid that was seen among the "Grim Grinning Droids" section of the Queue for the Tokyo Disneyland version of the ride Star Tours: The Adventures Continue, where a trio of droids mimic the poses of three ghosts seen in Disney's Haunted Mansion attraction. Its name can be identified on a container near it, and was a slight pun on its activities ("HHG" stands for "Hitch-Hiking Ghost").
