Reubens Robotic Systems was a droid manufacturing company who, along with Industrial Automaton, designed the RX-Series pilot droid to bridge the gap between astromech and protocol droids.[1]
Behind the scenes
Reubens Robotic Systems was a fanon invention with the name being a reference to the name of RX-24's voice actor, Paul Reubens. It became canon within the Star Wars Legends continuity when it was mentioned in The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia,[2] a three-volume reference book edited by Bob Vitas[3] and released on December 9, 2008.[4]
