The HAVr A9 Floating Fortress, known simply as the Floating Fortress or the HAVr A9, was a repulsorcraft-equipped armored transport manufactured by Ubrikkian Industries. It heavily resembled the K79-S80 Imperial Troop Transport, as it was designed by the vehicle's same division, and was favored by the Imperial Army in urban environments. Its smaller profile made it a more versatile counterpart to the Imperial All Terrain Armored Transport.
Characteristics
The Floating Fortress was a heavily armored repulsorcraft-equipped transport that bore a heavy resemblance to the K79-S80 Imperial Troop Transport. Every surface of the HAVr 9 was equipped with nigh-impenetrable armor, and it had a short-range dorsal-mounted laser turret with two barrels that could aim and fire independently. The Floating Fortress' chassis was itself a weapon, being able to plow through most obstacles. The vehicle was also equipped with an advanced medium-range sensor array and its repulsorlift had a maximum altitude of 20 meters.[1]

The HAVr A9 Floating Fortress was first mentioned in the new Star Wars canon in Forged in Battle,[1] a 2016 sourcebook for the Star Wars: Age of Rebellion roleplaying game published by Fantasy Flight Games.[2] It originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was first mentioned in the Imperial Sourcebook, a 1989 sourcebook for West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[3]
