Around 20 BBY,[2] Wookiee Jedi Initiate Gungi created his own lightsaber aboard the Crucible, under the assistance of Professor Huyang.[1] He used it on Florrum, in the Second battle of Florrum.[3] The weapon produced a green blade and was constructed of a metallic casing around the saber's internal components. The hilt was constructed of a layer of wood over the metal casing. The wood used was of the Brylark tree, whose bark was as strong as metal.[1]
