The Gundark gang was a criminal organization on the Nabooian moon Rori at the time of the Galactic Civil War. The gang was named after the gundark, one of the most fearsome species in the galaxy.^[1] They maintained a base near the city of Narmle.^[2]

History

"So Ponda never showed. Only some Gundark thugs. Apparently, Ponda hired those Gundark thugs as protection and was spooked when you defeated them."

In 1 ABY,^[3] the Aqualish criminal Ponda Baba lived on Rori. In order to replace the arm he lost on Tatooine, he hired some Gundark thug and committed a number of break-ins at cybernetic labs on Rori. However, the Aqualish was quickly identified by the Royal Naboo Security Forces. A spacer working for Lieutenant Tarc attacked the Gundark Base near Narmle and forced the Gundark gangsters to reveal the location of Ponda Baba's camp.^[2]

Lastly, while Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" features the Battle of Hoth—dated to 3 ABY by The New Essential Chronology—the developers have stated that the portrayal of that battle in the game is intentionally anachronistic. Therefore, the events of Star Wars Galaxies must span from 0 ABY to around 1 ABY.
